A viewer complained that I talk too slow One of my weak points was that I speak too fast but I guess the world has changed with Youtube So I’ll speak a bit faster in this video and follow the viewer’s feedback For me to do that, I’ll have to read the script so please excuse me Here goes 15 Shampoo Tips for hair loss / seborrheic dermatitis 1. Choose your shampoo wisely Shampoos cannot fix hair loss or seborrheic dermatitis However, using shampoos full of harmful chemicals incorrectly for a long period of time can cause hair loss or seborrheic dermatitis We’ve all gotta shampoo, so please be wise and use shampoos that are free from hazardous ingredients Weak acid shampoos? Shampoos for Oily Scalps?
What should I use? Having an oily scalp doesn’t mean that you have to use strong alkaline shampoos and having a dry scalp doesn’t mean that you should use weak acid shampoos It depends on the season and your scalp’s condition It’s quite a long story so I’m planning to make a separate video about it soon Meanwhile, you might want to watch this “Hair Loss Shampoo TalmoSisterTV” video 3. Anti-Hair Loss shampoos are too stiff! They are uncomfortable and stiff because it lacks in conditioning agents, right? I don’t find it too disturbing after using it for a while and getting used to it Then you might say: Can I use a hair rinse or conditioner at the tip of the hair then? but hair touches the skin as well so I think it will be too good for your skin thus I don’t recommend you in doing so Apparently, the silicone in those products that acts as a conditioning agent doesn’t wash away easily with water Also, even if doesn’t have silicone in it, other substances in the product may cause damage so I try to avoid it as much as possible If you have to use it, use conditioners that are free from hazardous ingredients Watch Director Pi’s videos on conditioners for more information 4. Does washing hair too frequently cause hairs to fall out? Washing hair is irrelevant Hairs that fall out while you wash hair are hairs that were ready to fall out already so don’t get upset about it There’s nothing you can do to save those hairs If you are that concerned about it, Get a shampoo free from hazardous ingredients and use it properly and don’t forget to home-treat your hair By the way, when you shampoo, use the tip of your fingers, not your nails 5. Is it better to shampoo at night? It helps a lot by removing the sebum and dust your scalp collected during the day and nourishing your scalp before you sleep And those hair-styling products like wax or gels If you use them, It’s a MUST to shampoo at the end of the day Going to sleep with hair styling agents on your hair is like going to sleep with your makeups on So make sure you shampoo 6. Is it better to leave the hair to dry by itself? Warm and wet places are favoured by who? Germs Don’t create a habitat for germs It’s best to dry the scalp with a cold wind But if you are in a hurry use a hot wind 20cm apart from your hair to dry your hair before sleep 7. Is it good to comb hair before shampooing? However, use a wooden blunt comb to comb your hair before shampooing To improve your blood flow by combing comb in a reverse direction From neck to the crown From hairline to the crown Combing up towards the crown is the way to improve your blood flow The not recommended method of combing is: Don’t comb your hair when it’s wet because it can damage it And don’t comb your hair with an unclean comb Do not keep your comb in your bathroom It’s best to keep it in an infrared steriliser but not many of us have it, right? In that case, get ethanol from a pharmacy and put it in a spray bottle to spray it onto the comb By the way, I don’t use combs because I can’t be bothered 8. My hair is messy in the morning when I shampooed it the night before, should I shampoo it again in the morning? If you have an oily scalp, then you can shampoo again in the morning if not, simply rinse it with water then dry it before you go to work If you are going to shampoo again in the morning because you have an oily scalp make sure nourish your scalp after you’ve shampooed it 9. The temperature when washing hair? The temperature of the water should be similar to body temperature; 35 – 37 degree lukewarm water will do The order of shampooing is: 1. Wet your hair and scalp with lukewarm water 2. Clean your body first and shampoo last The reason being is to soak up the flakes 3. It’s good to rinse your hair with cold water at the very end Some people wash their hair with hot water but hot water might melt the lipid layer causing your hair and scalp to dry out so do not use hot water 10. Don’t use too much shampoo The more you use, the more time your have to spend rinsing it out To shampoo with minimal amount of shampoo If you have an oily scalp, shampoo twice For the first shampoo Pump it once and rub it onto your scalp then rinse it out roughly Then for the second shampoo Pump it twice and rub it on your palm to create foam Then rub it once on your crown, the side of your head, and the back of your head to distribute it evenly onto your scalp then rub it thoroughly to create a lot of foam If you have a dry scalp, shampoo once 11. Is it better to leave shampoo on for 3 – 5 minutes? It might depend on the shampoo’s ingredients but I personally disagree with it I think leaving shampoo full of harmful ingredients on your scalp will do more harm than good I think it’s unnecessary to keep the shampoo on if you shampoo thoroughly in first place 12. Rub thoroughly and rinse thoroughly Hairline area, sideburns, back hair boundaries, crown, and etc rub it thoroughly on all areas Especially those who feel itchy or have acne at the back of the head It’s probably because you didn’t rinse it out thoroughly You should rinse it out for 3 – 5 minutes Take your time with it The more time you put into it, the better Shampoo residuals can cause hair loss or seborrheic dermatitis If you want to know how to shampoo properly Search “How to Shampoo TalmoSister” on Youtube 13. Be careful when you rinse your hair Don’t stand straight Shampoo can go all over your body if you do that When you face down as well make sure it doesn’t go into your eyes or your mouth Especially the elders use shampoos to wash their face, hair and their whole body Please don’t do that If you look at the ingredients in anti-hair loss products They are approved for scalp-use only so you never know what kind of damage it can do if it goes into your eyes or mouth There are reasons why there are separate ‘for scalp’ or ‘for skin’ products So use them separately 14. Changing a shower water filter will be helpful for the scalp With the environment worsening with microdusts or microplastics And one thing we don’t really think about is the problems related to old water pipes It’s inevitable for old water pipes to build up chlorines or corrosions Also, replacing water pipes are near-impossible so, because it’s rarely replaced, it’ll be faster and easier for us to replace shower filters ourselves 15. How to dry hair? Don’t rub it crazy like this When the scalp and hair touch each other like this it irritates the scalp and damages the hair Have you seen me tapping my hair like this before I dry it? Just wrap a towel around and lightly tap it to dry your hair with a towel I don’t know where there are so many things I want to tell you guys Keep these 15 tips in mind and keep your scalp healthy
